Packing List for a Couples-Only Resort

The suitcase has been open on the bed for two days. She put in three dresses, took two out, then slipped something black at the bottom, under the sandals, something she has never worn in front of him.

A week at a couples-only resort isn’t packed like a week at the beach. There’s a theme night every night, dress rules at dinner, areas where clothing becomes optional. Here’s the list, built for Desire and Temptation, but useful anywhere.

In short

  • At night: one outfit per theme night, plus a dressier one for the restaurants and the disco.
  • By day: swimsuits, a sarong, sandals, sunscreen.
  • Lingerie: what makes you feel good, not what you “should” wear.
  • Discretion: the phone often stays away; photos only in your room at Desire.
  • Essentials: a valid passport, protection, and your exit word.

What to wear for the theme nights?

Desire and Temptation both hold a theme night every night. Themes change from week to week: ask the resort for the calendar before you leave, and plan one outfit per night. No need for complicated costumes: a color, an accessory, a shiny fabric is often enough.

Think about dinner and the disco too: at Desire, dress is required there, even after a day without a swimsuit. A light dress and a shirt will do.

What lingerie to bring?

The kind you feel beautiful in, not the catalog kind. A piece your partner has never seen always works on the first night. For ideas, our neighbours at sharegf rounded up gifts for her, lingerie included.

And for the day?

  • Two or three swimsuits: one dries while you wear the other.
  • A sarong or an open shirt: to go from the pool to the bar.
  • Sunscreen and after-sun: on areas that rarely see the sun, remember.
  • Sandals and one pair of evening shoes.

The little things people forget

  • Your own condoms and lube, the ones you know.
  • A small game for two for nights in the room: our couples games play on your phone.
  • A discreet toy, if you like: sharegf imagined night-out scenarios with a remote toy.
  • A valid passport for Mexico, and a separate copy.

And in your heads?

The most important thing takes no space: your rules as a couple. What you’ll do together, what each of you can do alone, the exit word. Write them on a note slipped into the suitcase, if it helps. Nobody will read it but you, on the first night.
