Montreal Swingers Clubs: The Guide
Friday, 10 p.m., Saint-Laurent Boulevard. She adjusts her dress in a shop window; he holds her hand a little tighter than usual. They chose the club together, talked about their limits over dinner, agreed on a word to leave. All that’s left is to open the door.
Montreal has several swingers clubs, and they are not alike. Here are the three clubs in our directory, what sets them apart, and how to pick the one that suits you for a first night or the next one.
In short
- Three clubs in Montreal in our directory: Club Luxuria, Club L and L’Orage Club.
- First time: Club L gives newcomers a guided tour, and it’s required on your first visit.
- Party atmosphere: Club Luxuria, on two floors, with a bar, dance floor and rooms to rent.
- If you like to watch: L’Orage Club, a fully open space with no closed rooms.
- Everywhere: nothing is required, you always ask, and the more cautious partner’s limit applies.

Which club for a first time?
Club L is the most reassuring place to start: the club focuses on consent and education, and a guided tour is required on your first visit. Arrive early so you can take your time.
Club Luxuria suits couples who want a real night out first: downstairs the bar, dance floor and DJs; upstairs the private spaces and rooms to rent. Phones are not allowed, and there is a dress code.
L’Orage Club, open since 1996, is a fully open space with no closed rooms. It’s the club for couples who like to watch or be watched. If that sounds intimidating, keep it for a second or third night out.
Her side: what she can expect
In a good club she sets the pace. She can dance, have a drink, watch and leave without doing anything else. Nobody comes close without an invitation, and one no is enough. Many women say the first night is mostly the pleasure of being looked at, chosen, wanted, with her partner right there.
His side: what he should know
A club is not a race. You speak to the couple, never to her alone, and you take a no with a smile. His job that night: stay close, read her signals, and be the one who suggests leaving if the mood isn’t right for her anymore. That’s often what makes a second night possible.
How does a first night go?
- At the door: you’ll be shown the rules, often with a tour. Ask all your questions.
- At the bar: have a drink, look around, breathe. The first minutes are for feeling at ease.
- On the dance floor: dance together. Encounters happen on their own, or not, and that’s fine too.
- Upstairs or in the private spaces: only if you both want to, and after you’ve checked in with each other.
- On the way home: talk about the night. What did you like? What made you uneasy?
What to wear?
Club Luxuria has a dress code; when in doubt, go smart and sexy everywhere. For her, an elegant dress or lingerie under an evening outfit; for him, a shirt and well-cut trousers. Skip sportswear. L’Orage holds theme nights: check the calendar on the club’s website before you go.
